Why should we be able to help you care for your new born baby?
All the people who have contributed to information on this website are professionals who have years and years of experience with first time parents - and know the type of information you are looking for and the likely challenges you may face.
Also, we were all first time parents once - so we know the difference between practice and theory. Check out each expert's profile.
Using this website
You will find that we often use the words "Health Care Professional" - here we mean a person with recognised qualifications in the care of pregnant women, new born babies and their Partner - this could be your doctor - an obstetrician - a paediatrician - a midwife - a maternal and infant-health nurse, the community nurse etc etc. What I am saying is that that does not mean "YOUR MOTHER" unless she is one of the above. However - NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE of what your mother has to teach you - remember she went through the same/similar predicaments with YOU.
OK OK so you want all your new born baby care answers now - or maybe there may be just a question or two you have - whatever the case, our aim is to keep the information easy, simple and straight forward.
The quickest way to find help is to click on the navigation button that interests you. There are also some great DVD's that are available to view or purchase that will give you lots of helpful information.
Tip No 1 - make your bed as soon as you get out of it - that way you know you will have achieved at least one task for the day! That was the most important tip someone gave me when my baby was about 3 months old.
